MSB / OT Integration Developer/Engineer
Location: Rotterdam area or Northern Netherlands | 32-40 hours | Hybrid
Do you combine strong C# development skills with experience in Industrial IT/OT integration?
For an international organization, we are looking for an MSB / OT Integration Developer/Engineer. You will develop solutions that connect machines and production systems with the wider IT environment.
The main focus of this role is MSB/OT integration and software development. You will work at the intersection of Operational Technology and IT, using technologies such as OPC UA and MQTT to enable reliable communication between industrial systems and applications.
Approximately 80% of the role focuses on development and implementation, with the remaining 20% involving support and troubleshooting of existing production environments.
What will you do?
Develop integrations between machines, production systems and IT applications.
Develop software and integration solutions using C#.
Build and maintain industrial communication solutions using OPC UA and MQTT.
Develop and further improve the Manufacturing Service Bus (MSB).
Integrate OT systems with the wider IT environment.
Implement and deploy new integration solutions across production environments.
Translate technical and functional requirements into scalable integration solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within existing production environments.
Contribute to technical standards, tools and best practices for industrial integration.
Work closely with international IT, OT and manufacturing teams.
You do not need to program PLCs or CNC machines yourself. However, you should understand industrial production environments and be able to develop the technical integrations between OT systems and the IT environment.
Who are you?
You have a strong software development background within Industrial IT, OT, industrial automation or a comparable technical environment.
You have hands-on development experience with C#.
You have experience with OPC UA.
You have experience with MQTT.
You understand Industrial IT/OT integration and industrial communication.
You are able to understand how machines, production systems and IT applications interact.
Experience with other industrial communication protocols is an advantage.
Experience with MES/MOM platforms can be useful but is not required.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You enjoy working in an international and technically complex environment.
You communicate effectively in English.
