MES/MOM Systems Developer/Engineer
Location: Rotterdam area or Northern Netherlands | 32-40 hours | Hybrid
Do you have extensive experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution and enjoy combining MES development with technical application integration?
For an international organization, we are looking for an experienced MES/MOM Systems Developer/Engineer. You will contribute to the development, implementation, integration and support of a Manufacturing Execution System used across multiple production locations.
The MES environment is based on Siemens Opcenter Execution, formerly known as Camstar. In this role, you will combine hands-on MES development with technical application management and integration. Approximately 50% of the role focuses on development and implementation and 50% on support and maintenance of existing production environments.
What will you do?
Develop, implement and maintain Siemens Opcenter Execution.
Configure and further develop the MES environment.
Set up and maintain integrations with surrounding applications using Opcenter Connect MOM.
Develop and maintain custom logic using C# and .NET.
Help move the MES environment towards greater use of standard, out-of-the-box Opcenter functionality.
Translate functional requirements into technical MES solutions.
Install, upgrade and configure Opcenter environments.
Manage and optimize MS SQL databases, including performance analysis and indexing.
Manage and troubleshoot the underlying Windows Server environment.
Work with IIS, certificates, services, firewalls and PowerShell.
Define test specifications and participate in testing and validation.
Support existing MES implementations within production environments.
Work closely with international MES, IT and manufacturing teams.
Who are you?
You have at least 5 years of relevant experience within MES engineering.
You have hands-on experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution, formerly Camstar.
You have experience with MES development and technical application integration.
You have experience with C# and .NET.
You have strong knowledge of Windows Server and technical application management.
You have good knowledge of MS SQL, including performance optimization and indexing.
Experience with Opcenter Connect MOM is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of or experience with Mendix is important for the future development of the platform.
You have basic knowledge of and experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
You have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
You communicate effectively in English and enjoy working in an international environment.
Experience with PLC, CNC or specific OT integrations is not required for this position.
